  2. I would recommend City of Ember because it is a very good page turning adventure, also if you don't like fantasy it is not that much fantasy at all,and also something is always happening!

  3. I didn't really like the
Tale of Despereaux but not really. I didn't like it's fairy-tale fashion. It was too fantasy for me with the talking animals. It kept me reading at some parts, though. I would not recommend this book to a friend. (This comment is not intended to inflict the opinions of any Despereaux lovers)

  13. I read The Dark is Rising as my book. I would recommend this book to people who really enjoy books with big vocabulary and
love fantasy. This is a very challenging book I recommend this to ages 12& up. I hope those of you who have read this book get a chance to read it at some point. To me, this book was really exciting but my literature circle group did not agree with me. This book can be confusing at times with its Old English spelling like realise and recognise. I really liked The Dark is Rising.

  22. For my literature circle book I read The Tale of Despereaux. I would not recommend Despereaux, but I would definitely recommend The City of Ember. In the City of Ember, after the world is destroyed by nuclear war and massive plagues, a few select people were chosen to live in an underground city of Ember. The people in Ember are completely unaware of the outside world. When the generator that provides the whole city's power starts to fail, Doon Harrow and Lina Mayfleet must find a way to get out of their dieing city...

  23. I would recommend The secret of Platform Thirteen to people who like magical adventures. It keeps you kind of thinking though so you really have to pay attention and not forget anything important because it can get really confusing. You also can't really think ahead of what you think is going to happen because you could be really wrong.
